A NEW SEASON OF UNITY AND HARVEST

This year marks a milestone for Hebrew People

We remember 20 years since Gerrit & Martie Nel founded the Ministry. Two decades of community, teaching, and lives touched by the Word and Spirit. The journey began in Jerusalem, where the Nel family has now lived for 22 years, faithfully sowing into the land and people of Israel.

It was here that Gerrit Nel, the founder of Hebrew People, laid a strong foundation built on humility, truth, and love for the Father’s purposes in the nations. The 28th of October marked seven years since Gerrit completed his race, he ran with patience, and we continue to remember his legacy by walking in the same heart of faith and friendship that he modeled so well.

To mark this new season, we are launching our NEW LOGO: A single, strong honeycomb cell that represents unity within diversity. This image represents each one of us as we serve in our unique calling but together form one living body, joined in purpose and vision.

Our Sukkot celebration was truly unforgettable. Sharing a meaningful meal on our rooftop in our sukkah was a highlight with people from different nations!

During this Sukkot season, a few dear friends of the ministry gave their time and energy to help us prepare for the celebration on the roof terrace in Jerusalem. They helped build our large sukkah, serve food for more than 140 guests, and stayed late to clean up afterward. It was a selfless act, especially because it was one of their birthdays that evening.

Their example brought Proverbs 18:24 to life:  A man who has friends must himself be friendly, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.

Their service reminded us that true friendship is not only about having people around you, but also about being the kind of friend who serves, gives, and loves in return.

Continue Reading - Planting for the Next Harvest

Our team had the privilege of witnessing life changing experiences for some of the tour members who chose to be baptized in the Jordan River. It was a beautiful reminder of the significance of new life and obedience to the Father. This event also reinforced the word that the Father had been sharing with us.

As the fall festivals comes to an end, we are stepping into a new agricultural year in Israel. This is a time that the farmers are preparing the ground in which they will sow new seeds for their next harvest. This is relevant to us as believers as well. In this time how we prepare the soil of our hearts and also the seed that we sow will determine the harvest that we will have to present to the Father.

Out of this same desire to grow and bear fruit, we have launched the Double Portion series, a weekly journey through the Torah portions where Tiaan and Jani share from their hearts and experience. Each teaching is an opportunity to plant truth, cultivate understanding, and prepare for the harvest that is to come.
