In Seelisberg winter has come. It has been very cold, and we have had about thirty centimetres of snow. The house is warm and cosy: The heating system was replaced by the landlord and this brought some stable temperatures to an older house.

In the attic some further maintenance works could be done. These works were led by Jörg Neukom, for which we are very grateful.

During the times of the Biblical festivals, Beit Tehilah was very well visited. Guests came to enjoy great times together, to share life and to spend some relaxed holidays in the house.

Beit Tehilah’s new way of providing breakfasts and suppers has been received with a lot of positive feedback. Holidays can be enjoyed without having to think too much about meals or about organising them.

During the time of the Jewish festival of Light, called Chanukkah from the 10th to the 18th of December 2020, we, Ockie and Joëlle (on behalf of Hebrew People) were welcoming some day guests and were having very nice fellowship.

Since August, Beit Tehilah has hosted a number of Hebrew students for times of revision in a relaxed environment (this in combination with great times of fellowship). Most of these students have acquired their knowledge through the Hebrew learning course with Tiaan that takes place via Zoom and is available on KolKallah.com, for anyone to start with at any time.

From the 11th to the 14th of February 2021 we will have a 5th opportunity to practice Hebrew. This opportunity is open to anyone who is learning the Hebrew language on any level of proficiency. With games and speaking the students will deepen their knowledge and have a lot of fun. These times of revision were created especially to have the opportunity to practice one’s speaking skills with fellow students.

During the last weekend in January 2021, we will host the first “Ladies weekend”. It will be a time for them to meet the Heavenly Father, rest, relax and be spoiled. Martie will give spiritual inputs and other pleasant activities will be done together. If you haven’t registered yet, there are a few last places left open for you.

The most precious piece of news from Beit Tehilah is, however, that we will be joined by a new addition in April next year. We are extremely happy and look forward to the occasion with great excitement.

Since the last time we relayed news about Beit Tehilah, people have also come to visit and stay outside of any organised programs. It is always possible for you to come and rest in Beit Tehilah. Please send your enquiries to joelle@beittehilah.com. You can also book directly on the website BeitTehilah.com. We are looking forward to welcome you at the front door soon and helping you get your luggage through the snow.
